Apollo Quiboloy, the self-proclaimed ‘appointed son of God,’ now cowers behind his empty demands, attempting to dictate the terms of his own surrender like a petulant child. In his feeble attempts to evade justice, he reveals the true extent of his moral bankruptcy and utter contempt for the rule of law. But Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla stands as a beacon of righteousness amidst the darkness, refusing to bow to Quiboloy’s despicable conditions.
Quiboloy’s audacity knows no bounds as he dares to demand “written guarantees” from the authorities, seeking assurances that the long arm of the law will not reach him. His cowardice knows no bounds as he hides behind baseless conspiracy theories, concocting wild tales of assassination plots and foreign interference to justify his refusal to face the consequences of his actions.
But Remulla, in a rare display of courage and integrity, refuses to be swayed by Quiboloy’s cowardly tactics. He rightly declares that Quiboloy cannot impose any conditions upon his surrender, that he must face the grave charges against him without reservation or hesitation. The charges laid against Quiboloy are not mere trifles—they are serious and morally abhorrent offenses, including sexual assault of a minor and human trafficking. To even entertain Quiboloy’s demands would be a travesty of justice, a slap in the face to all those who have suffered at the hands of their oppressors.
Quiboloy’s delusions of grandeur are matched only by his utter disregard for the suffering of his victims. He seeks to portray himself as a victim, a martyr for his cause, when in reality, he is nothing more than a common criminal, a predator preying upon the innocent and vulnerable. His attempts to shift the blame onto others only serve to further expose his own guilt, his own complicity in the crimes he so brazenly denies.
But amidst the darkness, there is a glimmer of hope. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., though no stranger to controversy himself, refuses to indulge Quiboloy’s absurd demands, declaring them nothing more than “tail wagging the dog.” He assures Quiboloy that the government will exercise compassion in executing the arrest warrant, but make no mistake—justice will be served, and Quiboloy will be held to account for his crimes.
Meanwhile, Quiboloy’s loyal followers, blinded by their devotion to their false prophet, continue to defend his actions, refusing to see the truth for what it is. But the Philippine National Police issues a stark warning to Quiboloy and his ilk: no one is above the law, not even a so-called ‘appointed son of God.’ Quiboloy may be in hiding now, but he cannot escape the long arm of justice forever.
In the end, Quiboloy’s legacy will be one of shame and disgrace, his name forever synonymous with cowardice and betrayal. But let us not forget the victims of his heinous crimes, the innocent souls whose lives he has shattered with his vile deeds. They are the true heroes in this dark saga, and it is for their sake that we must continue to fight for justice, to ensure that Quiboloy and his ilk are brought to account for their sins.
